How to Connect to Air India Wi-Fi
- Look for the “Wi-Fi Onboard” indicator in Flight Status or web check-in.
- When service opens at 10,500 feet or above, keep airplane mode enabled and connect to “Air India Wi-Fi”.
- Open wifi.airindia.com if the portal does not appear.
- Verify your surname, PNR or final four ticket digits, email and phone number.
- Select your entitlement or package and complete payment where required.
Air India accepts mobile UPI payments and international credit/debit cards without OTP authentication.
Package limits: Paid access covers one device and one flight segment. Plans cannot be paused or transferred between devices. Choose your device before purchasing.
Does IndiGo Offer Wi-Fi on Domestic or International Flights?
Do not expect internet access on an IndiGo-operated flight unless the airline specifically confirms it for your departure. An operational passenger internet service on IndiGo’s domestic or international flights could not be verified for this update.
IndiGo announced a limited trial of Hello 6E wireless entertainment on the Delhi–Goa sector starting in May 2024. This allowed passengers to access entertainment through the IndiGo app; it was not an internet service for email, WhatsApp or general browsing. A wider rollout has not been verified for this guide. Why Does My Phone Show Wi-Fi Without Internet?
A plane can use a local wireless network to deliver stored movies and music to your device. Reaching websites or sending messages outside the aircraft requires an additional internet connection.
Likewise, SpiceJet’s SpiceScreen is presented as an entertainment service. Seeing its network name does not prove that ordinary internet browsing is available.
