Air India has the widest charging availability among major Indian airlines, especially on newer and refurbished aircraft. Its Airbus A350, new Boeing 787-9 and upgraded A320neo cabins include USB charging, and many widebody aircraft also provide AC power outlets.


With IndiGo, the answer is much more aircraft-specific. Standard Economy passengers on the regular A320/A321 fleet should not assume there will be a charging port. IndiGoStretch seats have 60W USB-C power, while the airline's leased long-haul Boeing 787 aircraft also provide charging. Akasa Air says USB ports are installed on the majority of its aircraft—but not all of them.
